Our first high profile hotel project was in 2003 with the conversion of a nineteenth-century warehouse into the Salthouse Harbour Hotel on the Ipswich Waterfront. Since then, we have been involved in planning accommodation to the standards required by leading hotel operators. The success of the first phase of the Salthouse Harbour Hotel led to further commissions for the ‘Salthouse’ brand and provided us with the opportunity to work in other leisure sectors such as health spas and sports facilities.

The proximity to London, attractive countryside and vibrant coastal towns mean that tourism and leisure are important components of the economy of the Eastern Region. In response to this opportunity, we have developed our expertise in design for leisure so that we are now able to advise on suitable sites, the range of facilities to offer and the relevant planning policies for each Planning Use Class.
