Simple investigations can help you make the right decision and avoid expensive mistakes.

If you are thinking of buying a site, find out more about it first. Most major development decisions are made early, but a wrong decision can prove very costly later. Find out before you buy what the planning potential of a site is likely to be, what the planning history is and whether there are hidden dealbreakers. What are your chances of getting planning consent, and what can you reasonably expect to get planning approval for? Good advice early on will help you choose the right site, and maximise its potential.

 

 

Barefoot & Gilles can carry out an appraisal of a site before you need to commit yourself to paying for any drawings. A desktop study costs as little as £300+VAT and will highlight any areas of concern. Obtain a written opinion for a further £300+VAT, if you need it. Then if you’re confident, a simple feasibility drawing and liaison with the planners will help in an application to fund a purchase.
